Is my electronic cigarette legal?
You shall be aware of the following when you buy electronic cigarettes and refillable containers with nicotine.
1. Has the product been registered?
You shall only buy electronic cigarettes and refillable containers, which have been registered with the Danish Safety Technology Authority.
2. Are there directions for use and a health warning in Danish?
All electronic cigarettes and refillable containers must include directions for use and a health warning in Danish, which you should follow as a consumer.
3. Is the content of nicotine above 20 mg?
E-liquids with nicotine may be sold only in special refillable containers of max 10 ml, in electronic single-use cigarettes or cartridges of max. 2 ml. The liquid itself may have a max. content of nicotine of 20 mg/ml.
4. Has a cross-frontier distance selling been registered?
If you buy electronic cigarettes and refillable containers with nicotine from a retailer in another country (e.g. by internet trading), the retailer must be registered with the Danish Safety Technology Authority.
